Deny access
Destructive confirm that blocks portal login (School ID + User ID) for a learner who already has a linked account. Opened from student detail as Deny access; confirm title is Deny portal access?.

Dependencies
- Learner exists on the active register and has a linked portal user (
userId). The Deny access control is hidden when there is no portal account. - Prefer password reset or coaching when the learner only forgot credentials; Deny is for blocking sign-in.

Dialog appears when
On student detail, click Deny access. The confirm titled Deny portal access? explains that portal login for that learner will stop working.
Steps
- Open Students and open the learner row (student detail).
- Confirm the learner has a portal account (the Deny access button is shown only when
userIdis present). - Click Deny access.
- Read Deny portal access? - login with School ID + User ID will no longer work for this learner.
- Confirm with Deny access, or cancel to leave access unchanged.
- Tell the family offline; do not rely on them discovering denial at the login screen.
